NESCAFE CONCEPT

Following the existing brand guidelines and style guide of Nescafe, I began my sketches on label types, and illustrations with the final goal being a revised modern and minimalistic designs for new instant coffee labels. The main problem was to strictly follow Nescafe's brand guidelines to keep the original look and feel of the brand whilst being different. The approach I went with was to design a secondary label which can be placed on the cylindrical tins that they current produce for their other coffee lines. During the development process i bought one of those existing tins and crafted my label sizes to cater to the measurements of the tin container. As for the label designs itself, each flavour would have not only a different colour but a different illustration as well to differentiate between them.

Throughout the project, I learned the importance of working with physical packaging during the design process. Having the product in hand made it easier to refine typography, sizing, and layout decisions, resulting in a more practical and polished final design. The completed project included three redesigned coffee labels, each with its own illustration, as well as a fully assembled physical mockup that showcased the final packaging concept.
